While exploring the Gamma Quadrant, the USS Defiant discovers a planet inhabited by humans. The crew discovers that the inhabitants of this previously undiscovered world are their descendants, and that the Defiant, when trying to return home, will crash land two hundred years in the past.
Now the crew is faced with a dilemma – do they return home and erase this alternate timeline, or do they stay on this world and accept their fate as time has determined it to be? We get lots of great character moments, from the silly to the profound, and it’s all done via a throwback episode that reminds one strongly of The Next Generation and The Original Series.
