Quark is feeling stressed about his business, so he heads back home to Ferengenar to visit his radical (for a Ferengi) mother. He is surprised to learn that she has fallen in love with the Grand Negus, Zek! Brunt, of the FCA, informs Quark that if he were to sabotage the relationship, his business permits with the Ferengi home world would be restored. Meanwhile, Rom and Leeta try to hammer out the details of their impending nuptials.
Clay and Wes discuss yet another Ferengi episode (seriously, didn’t we just cover one?) and try to make sense of the most peculiar of DS9 cultures. They attempt to modernize the Ferengi for the modern TV audience, and they discuss everyone trying their best, the speedy relationship of Rom and Leeta, and doing a lot of work for middling results!
