When tensions with the Dominion reach an all-time high, Jake tries to lift his father’s spirits by winning a rare baseball card at an auction. And not just any card – Willie Mays 1951 rookie card! As Jake and Nog bumble around the station trying to strike a deal, Weyoun and Kai Winn negotiate a non-aggression pact between Bajor and the Dominion.
It’s a little bit of a breather before the season finale, and In the Cards does something unusual by Star Trek standards – it inverts the A and B stories by primarily focusing on light-hearted comedy at the expense of universe-building drama.
