“Short Treks” have returned to the Star Trek universe, and with them, a renewed subscription to CBS All Access!
The first episode in the new “season” of shorts, “Q&A” focuses on Spock’s first day aboard the USS Enterprise. He meets Captain Pike and Number One. He learns to ask questions because that is what a good science officer should do. He learns that turbolifts exist in the void of space. And then he gets stuck in an elevator with Number One and decides to pass the time with a little Q&A.
The first season of Short Trek’s had a surprising amount of impact of Discovery’s second season. Will this season fare the same? Or will the series approach these shorts in a totally different way?
In this podcast, Wes and Clay discuss the highs and lows of Spock’s first day on the job. Plus! They debate the structure of a starship, lament the lack of Christopher Pike, and marvel at the power-move of not telling someone your name!
